Title: “Where’s Velda?”
The story: She was a free spirit, always flitting about here, there and everywhere. But no matter where she went, Velda always wore her pearls.
Velda comes to you as a 5×7 art print and would look fabulous anywhere, at work or at home.
Originally created on a page that was taken from “The Passing Bells” by Phillip Rock, circa 1978. I love my quirky people so much, I decided to make a series of them, working through the whole book, 433 pages in all. Whew!
Here’s how I am working through this series:
First I read each page, then I choose the words that speak to me. These words become the title of the piece and remain visible through the paint. Then I create a beautiful new person, and add a tiny story to tell a little bit about their character.
I have been known to use two or more of the following in my book page art: paint, ink, pastel, charcoal, graphite, and colored pencil.
Please note: You will receive one 5×7 art print. Frame, display items, etc. are not included.
Shipping: Comes protected in a see thru cover with supports and mailed in a padded envelope. Shipped via USPS first class mail in the US or first class mail international.
Please contact me with any questions, I answer emails daily. Thank you for visiting my shop.
